The Boston Museum of Fine Arts, in existence since July 4, 1876, is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world, with a collection of almost 500,000 works of art, ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary painting, sculpture and video. In addition, there are always special exhibitions on view, opportunities to take advantage of educational programs—some right in the galleries—and a contemplative Japanese garden.

Pass Benefits

This pass provides up to two adults with $10 admission per person (general admission and special exhibition) and up to 4 children ages 7-17 at $10 each (special exhibition only). There is no discount for children 7-17 for general admission, currently $10 each.

General Admission tickets will be valid for the entire day of your reservation. Special Exhibits require a timed entry ticket. Reservations are strongly encouraged. After booking this Library pass, you will receive an email with your discount pass and instructions for reserving discounted admission tickets ahead of your visit.

The Museum of Science in Boston is located on a piece of land that extends the width of the Charles River, connecting Boston and Cambridge. Dedicated to promoting and educating visitors about science and technology, the museum includes a planetarium, the world’s largest open-air Van de Graaff generator, an IMAX theatre, a butterfly garden, and permanent and changing exhibits on birds, insects and animals; space; dinosaurs; engineering; nanotechnology; math; biology; and more.

Pass Benefits

This pass admits up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free. 

Once you reserve a museum pass, your discount coupon will be emailed to you. You do not need to call ahead to reserve a timed ticket.  The discounted rate with a Library pass is Adult: $15.50, Child (3-12) $13.00: Senior (60+) $13.50.

Old Sturbridge Village, the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, depicts a rural New England town of the 1830s. Situated on more than 200 scenic acres are more than 40 original buildings, including homes, meetinghouses, a district school, country store, bank, working farm, three water-powered mills, and trade shops. Visitors can see heritage breed farm animals and interact with authentically costumed staff. Special events take place through the year. A gift shop and bookstore are located on the premises.

Pass Benefits

Library Pass offers a 50% discount off daytime admission for up to (4) individuals per visit. 

Regular daytime admission at the door prices are as follows: Adults $30; Seniors (55 & over) $28; Youth (4-17) $15; College Student (with valid college ID) $15; Children age 3 and under (admitted free). Rates online are as follows: Adults: $27, Seniors (55 and over) $25; Youths (4-17) $12; Children (ages 3 and under) free. Free parking is available.

Special events, programs and performances that require a separate ticket are not eligible.  Old Sturbridge Village will be closed during the day from November 17 – December 30, 2024 as they prepare for and host Christmas by Candlelight. The Village will be open on select evenings for Christmas by Candlelight. Library passes are not eligible to be used for Christmas by Candlelight. The Village will re-open for standard daytime admission in January 2025 (exact date TBD).

The museum, a part of the Boston National Historical Park, is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard near the ship USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”) at the end of Boston’s Freedom Trail. The museum provides a detailed look at the history of the ship, information about the war of 1812, and the battle between the ship and HMS Java. Stories are told through interactive exhibits, unique artifacts, archival records, and artwork. The museum also includes a research library which houses a strong collection of manuscripts, books, artifacts, and microfilm of primary source material. The ship itself is maintained by the US Navy, and may be visited free of charge on certain days.

Please note that the ship and museum have different hours. Museum Hours: Open Daily; Winter Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Summer Hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM. The Museum closes for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, and closes early on Christmas Eve.
